Syte.ai has raised $8 million as part of a Series A round led by NHN Ventures, the venture capital arm of Korean internet company NHN. Other investors include Naver Corp., Line Corp., Magma VC, Remagine VC, KDC Ventures, and NBM Ventures. Syte.ai is a visual search tool focused on fashion. It was developed after Co-founder and CMO Lihi Pinto Fryman realized she couldn’t find online a dress she had seen in Vogue. Syte is disrupting the way image search technology is used through deep learning algorithms. Their product is used as a search tool by online publishers and retailers globally.
